[The "would you?" is right on the tip of his tongue, but even at his worst, Gabriel knows when he's being combative just for the sake of it and Jack has never been the type to leave someone behind if he can help it. Even from a purely pragmatic standpoint, his being in Talon's hands is a dangerous prospect, let alone that chronically bleeding heart of his. He knows Jack wouldn't have left him there just as surely as Gabe knows the reverse is true; he'd never leave Jack in a place like that if he could help it. Even when he could barely stand to look at the man, he'd drag himself through fire and dirt to bring Jack home.]

[It's a pretty weak attempt at humour, especially when they have all the evidence they need of what late can mean with Widowmaker-- The thought of being tasked with hunting Jack down just to prove his loyalty flits through his mind, and the idea makes him want to reach for Jack's hand just to reassure himself they're as close to 'okay' as it really gets for people like them.]
