Even then, it's a struggle. He'll sleep for half an hour at a time before he wakes up again, as if his brain wants to remind him that he did get Gabriel out of there after all. He finds himself tempted to go out and talk to him, but he figures that Gabe probably needs his space in light of this whole mess, and he should respect that.
