@bray
[Going on his own, amazing as he is, would be a suicide mission though, so obviously he's gotta get some backup. Ana's probably the biggest nerd he knows (Ikora notwithstanding, she's in a league of her own,) she'd be way into this. Cayde pretty much bursts into the lounge under the hangar looking for her — this is an emergency, they have to get there first before any other guardians get out there.]
Ana? There you are-- [he swans over all chill and whatnot] What are you doing, um... [he looks at his wrist but he's not wearing a watch. when was the last time he wore a watch? it doesn't matter. he puts his hands back down and on his hips.] Right now?

basically a lot of the same stuff she always did when not in the field. which, as it turned out, had been a lot recently which was driving her slightly up the wall dealing with the same hum of the city, in and out, day and night.
her name is enough to get her focus off her notes and glancing up at cayde, brows raised and idly turning over the identification card in her hand. even jinju appears in a flash of light, curiously floating around his guardian's head. )
Oh, you know, the usual. ( being a huge fucking nerd― ) What's up?

[Plus: He doesn't actually care. Not like it makes her any worse at what she does. She's one of the best, actually. Not as good as Cayde, obviously, but who is?]
Wanna head out to the moon? [He leans toward her, dropping his voice with a conspiratorial glint in his optics.] I hear there's a cache of Golden Age tech just waiting for a couple of gunslingers to, ah. Rescue it from a bunch of Fallen bandits.

wherever that might have been and might be now. the tower was home, sure. she belonged it as much as it belonged to her but there was still something she could barely grasp. a little something that she needed to understand. )
You had me at head out to the moon but you know that I can't say no to Golden Age tech. ( with a flick of her wrist, the screens vanish and leave them in the low light of the hanger. ) Besides I've been itching to get out of this place and away from another shift on the wall. When can we leave?

[Cayde backs up a step, as if he's literally going to turn and go up to the hangar right this second, and tilts his head with a broad gesture.]
I mean, we wanna get out there before any other Guardians get their grubby mitts on it, right?
no subject
( do the warlocks have secret labs? probably. ) We can take my ship, it's faster.
no subject
Faster than mine? I don't think so.
[now he's going to the hangar. how dare she besmirch the good name of his ship this way.]
