You're an idiot.[ Said in the fondest voice as his fingers fumble for the tight points on the shirt, struggling to work the straps loose without losing himself to his own snickering. It's not the most polite work, but he manages to get one arm free enough that he can move on to try and repeat the same on the other. ]

Shut up.
[Take that.]

There's a reason I didn't try it with my boots.

[Between the two of them, it gets there eventually, and Cayde just pretty much flings the thing off his arm as soon as he can and barely pays any attention to where it lands. He's more focused on putting his arms back in their proper place and getting more of those kisses to comfort him after such a trying time.]

[ He won't argue that, it's a fair point, and now he's busy dragging his hands up the flat planes of Cayde's chest, tracing out the shape of his shoulders with his palms. The hood gets in the way when he dips his head to kiss along the angle of Cayde's jaw and he shoves it out of the way, burying his face in the warmth of Cayde's neck instead. ]

... Maybe we should lie down. [No idea what Andal's up to, if it's just trying to get warm or something else, but either way Cayde is at lease 80% certain they'd both be happier if they were fully horizontal.]

You're trying to take me to bed. [ Said flatly, knowingly, despite knowing that it's not Cayde's intent in suggesting it. His palms feel cold when he plants them against Cayde's chest, so he skims them down his front until his own thighs block any further progress. He frowns. ] Didn't even buy me dinner.

[Cayde clearly thinks he's hilarious, but he very wisely doesn't give Andal a chance to disagree. He lifts a hand and curls his fingers under Andal's chin and tilts his head in a gesture to the table they're on.] Come on.

He reaches past Cayde for where his own cloak is spread out on the table, soaked through and not at all comfortable. Sober and he might have cared as he shoves it out of the way and it spills over the edge onto the floor, but he's far more concerned with tipping off Cayde's lap just so he can pull him down across the table with him. ]

[He goes easily, sprawling out on the table to make himself available as some kind of... Mattress or pillow or whatever, and looks up expectantly at Andal as he waits for him to make himself comfortable however he deigns.]

Thanks for coming.

Of course. [After a moment, Cayde pulls back just a little, just enough to get a proper look at Andal, voice nonchalant like it's just some casual aside.] Anytime. You know that.

[He's quiet a while, just thinking. Enjoying the weight and the warmth of Andal on his chest. When Cayde does speak, it's quiet, soft. Half hoping Andal's drifted off and won't hear.]
... It's been way too long.

Prob'ly good you didn't bring soup, then. [ The words are only just distinguishable from one another, slurred into the back of his hand. ] No one likes old soup.

'M always right.

Go to sleep, Andal.

He slept. ]
it was my tag the whole time i cannot believe
[He also asks Sundance to wake him up (just him) early if he doesn't rise on his own. Cayde hasn't got a clue what Andal's doing out here or how long he's gonna stay, but getting a fire started for warmth and to dry their clothes seems like a good idea.]
it is i, das brain dead one
Fuck.
[ He's cold now, too, and noticeably alone (and he's fairly sure he didn't dream Cayde showing up, though it wouldn't be the first time that's happened). It still takes another couple minutes before he groans, forcing himself to roll over far enough to peer through the daylight and verify whether or not he's imagining the smell of a fire. ]
turns out we both suck
[When he hears Andal's groan, Cayde looks over in his direction from where he's sat on the floor, (in front of the fire, it's great,) and breathes a laugh that's a little sympathetic, but mostly schadenfreude.]
Morning, sunshine.
:*
He won't, but it doesn't seem to stop her from trying.
Another couple minutes gives him the strength to lever himself up and off the table and he wraps Cayde's cloak tighter around his shoulders before he drops himself in a rumpled heap beside him, blinking into the fire. ]
Re: :*
Cheer up, Andal. It's not that bad.

[ The argument won't stand, but this level of misery is enough that he can get away with some things he might have taken longer to wind himself towards otherwise. Dropping his head onto Cayde's shoulder, for one, as he drags the cloak's hood up to block as much of the light out as he can. Cayde's still warm and that's all that really matters beyond the throbbing at his temples. ]
You did a fire.
