Mahariel had promised not to try and hunt down Morrigan before she went through the Eluvian, but after finding out about Empress Celene's new advisor it would've been damn near impossible to keep her away. She hasn't had many people she'd truly call a friend since leaving her clan, and Morrigan was one of the best among them. She'd been there since the beginning, after all.
No interest in engaging the nobles in the Game tonight, however, she elects to sneak through the palace. Honestly it's been a while since she's been able to her less popular talents as a rogue, and it's kind of fun. Though she would highly recommend that Celene have her guards trained to be a little more aware of their surroundings if she'd like to continue not being assassinated.
Sadly, some people have yet to figure out exactly where in the castle Morrigan is, but she has no illusions as to Morrigan not knowing she's here. So Mahariel makes herself comfortable in the library, sitting down with a book as she waits for her old friend to make her appearance.]

I HOPE THIS IS GOOD FOR YOU i have no idea what i'm doing
Billy's the first person since his brother he feels like he has a responsibility to though. (Maybe it's the name.) It's what has Terry awkwardly fumbling around the idea of trying to make a friend with some guy he barely knows and has no real connection to outside of the fact that he's someone else who knows what it's like to have a power that could tear apart everything he cares about if it's not kept in check. Someone else who really understands how hard that is.
It's also why he feels compelled to turn up with coffee when he realises he's half an hour late to meet Billy at the station.]
Hey, sorry. I, uh. I got held picking up my laundry. [HERE HAVE A COFFEE and don't think about what an obvious lie that is.]

[Honestly it's great to actually see Hawke again, it's been far too long. (Of course when you spend six years practically glued to someone's side, any significant time apart is too long.) It's hard to shake the guilt about bringing her to the Inquisition, but she's the best person for the job and Hawke is astoundingly good at staying alive. So maybe he needn't feel too bad about it.]
[Right, first things first, showing her around. He's gonna take Hawke on a tour of Skyhold, pointing out everything of import. Everything of importance being the haughty elf, the Inquisitor's throne, the Seeker they should both avoid, and the most important of all: The tavern.]
[Gesturing with open arms at the whole of the room, as if presenting something magical:] It doesn't have the same charm as the Hanged Man, but the drinks are better.
I am slow, sorry; should have warned you about that.
no worries bud. as you can see I am also slow
eeeeexcellent
Terry
The second page reads "Try not to fall asleep at your desk next time. P.S. If the coffee is hot, I'm still in the kitchen."
no subject
The effect that sleeping in his chair has is that 'walking' is more of an anguished shuffle with a hunched back and his hands cupping the coffee mug tightly. It sort of makes him look like a caricature of an old man, especially still wearing his now-crumpled suit from the previous day, and the occasional groan in complaint doesn't help matters any.
Good thing it's not a long walk to the kitchen, and Terry offers the closest thing to a smile that he can manage in his current state when he sees Robbie. It's really more of a tired frown, but Terry can't help that his face is like this.
"Hey," his voice is gentle at least? And croaky. "Thanks for the coffee."

CRASHES INTO THIS FOR CYBORG FAMILY BONDING TIMES
Which is why she's dragged Raiden out for ice cream after a long evening's work of patrolling.
She insists on making him wait while she changes back into civilian clothes before they head to her favorite ice cream place -- not too far from the apartment she shares with Teddy, and a childhood favorite. She used to go here with her parents before her mother died, and with her father after that, but her relationship with her dad has been...pretty lacking lately. Crazy how secretly installing a transforming gun into your kid's hand might disrupt father-daughter relations a little. She's not talking to him much lately.
But none of that shows in Milly's sunny disposition even as the last traces of daylight slip under the horizon; she's absolutely bouncing as they arrive. It's one of those road-side ice cream stands, basically a glorified hut with counter service and it's obviously been here a while. "Here we are," Milly declares proudly, hands on hips. "They've got at least eighty different flavors of soft serve, see?" There is, in fact, a very long list on the board next to the service window. "So, what's your favorite, huh? I mean, you have had ice cream before, right?"
CATCHES YOU IN MY ARMS
"This might surprise you, but I've had ice cream at least twice before." Ha. Joking. It's almost like he's a functional human.
The question of his favourite flavour actually gives Raiden pause though, and he spends a while staring at the list like he's totally new to the concept of ice cream flavours. He remembers the first time he had ice cream; someone at the Stateside relief centre had brought ice cream for the children (and immediately got told off,) but Jack hadn't liked it. It was too sweet.
He's had it countless times since then - it's hardly as if it's some rare, luxury item that only the elite can get their hands on - but that's the thing that comes to mind when he tries to remember his favourite flavour. Raiden heaves a sigh, shaking his head as if it's just the long list giving him problems. "... Vanilla?"
Honestly he's not even sure if he can handle ice cream in this body, but if it goes wrong then that's a fun story for Newt to have about him.
WHAT THA FUCK I THOUGHT I TAGGED THIS IM SO SORRY

[But Tommy didn't quit. Not like the others.]
[It's probably why he's the one she goes to when she's in town, because he still wears the costume and still saves lives and even superspeed doesn't mean you'll never be blindsided.]
[Thank goodness there's an arrow with great dramatic timing flying through the air, pinning that last crook to the wall opposite.]
You really need to learn to check your blind spot.

Victorian AU is go!
She kept on until she found the building she was looking for, and carefully began to ascend the steps until she arrived at the correct floor. Still glancing behind her, Nancy approached the end of the hall and knocked.]
Mr. Eames? [She asked, her voice breathless.] Mr. Eames, I'd like to speak with you immediately, if you're in there.
no subject
[Speaking of business. The knocking at his door is a semi-welcome distraction of weighing his incomings and outgoings from the last week (he's never been great with numbers) but he still takes the time to put all that away before he answers the door.]
[Looking Nancy up and down, he doesn't open the door more than enough for him to lean in the frame and make a shooing motion with his hand.]
I didn't arrange for any girl tonight.

Is the truth torture? I simply mean for you to be the one who understands him, in this - how far we can get, in these dream lives we build. How easily we can lose ourselves in the wonder of it.

She remembers him, though. He wasn't so easy to forget, with his flirty, easy manner and his baffling warm skin.
Natasha was wilder back then, but she can still look on the time fondly. Fondly enough that she doesn't hesitate to approach him when they run into each other at a party in Berlin.]
Hey. That's a familiar face.
[Her hello is mellow, not expecting him to remember her.]

[He smiles back, easily recalling the taste of blood on her skin and the smell of it on her breath when he sees her face. He wonders what she's like these days.]

For now, though, she was left with this man known as Eames. He was handsome, sure, but just nearly everything he wore was terrible. Even Bill had a better fashion sense, and he was just a jeans and t-shirt sort of bloke.
"So I understand this whole thing is sleeping- but I'm going to make this clear to you, Mr. Eames: If you expect me to fuck you, you can get rid of the idea right now." She was sitting, one leg crossed over the other as she watched him work, going about getting set up for Intro To Dreaming or whatever. "'cause I ain't interested."
no subject
But needs must and Eames has agreed to training this child, so train her he will. Maybe she'll even surprise him and have some hint of natural talent, though he isn't about to hold his breath.
At her helpful comment, Eames rolls his eyes. Does she really think she's that attractive? He doesn't even look up from where he's busy checking settings on the PASIV, voice thick with sarcasm and pointed disinterest when he responds. "You're a little young for my taste, but thanks for letting me know."

@getyourselfapilot
[And at least Poe has the decency to have a good personality to make up for how every other mission seems to go sideways.]
[Cayde's here because there's no one else
willingavailable to take this mission with Poe, and if it's gonna go bad then they need to at least make sure the Fallen don't track them back to the nearest outpost. They're relentless and have a pretty decent hold out here on Venus, can't have them trashing what little Guardian presence they have.][After a little bit of doing loops on his sparrow, (making doubly sure he's hard to track, you know,) Cayde jumps off at the established rendezvous and waves on approach. He's late, but listen. It's fine.]
See anything interesting?
no subject
[ The important things to Poe is that he will get the mission done successfully even if it can go crazy. You never know what might turn out when you least expect it. He could feel it within him to complete every job that he has started. Maybe in a past life someone had taught him once you start something, you finish it. ]
[ He doesn't mind working with a team even if it's just one other person like Cayde. He knows what it means to have a fireteam. Someone to have your back when things can get out of control. At least it won't be boring and maybe they might accomplish something together versus it rolling into a dark pit that no one can crawl back out of. ]
[ Poe is scouting with a pair of binoculars. He thought he may have seen something but he's too far away to make or break what he had seen. ]
I was starting to think you wouldn't make it or you encountered Commander Zavala. [ He gives a wave and a smile back at Cayde. ]
I'm not sure I would call it interesting. I thought I saw something. I haven't seen it come back out again.
[ He points in the direction that looks to be a giant cave opening that leads downward. ]
Has anyone scouted this area before?
