[He smiles softly and says one more thing as he watches Terry go just because he wants to.]

[In the end, he just throws on some jeans and shoes, it's not like there's anyone he has to be fully decent for, and leans over to kiss Maxxie real quick before he goes.]

[And he grabs a bag to fill up on his way out.]

[Maxxie decides he's just gonna lounge on the couch until further notice, just laying there and thinking about how happy he is to be back with Terry and all the things he wants to do with him now that he's back and once he has the clothes and rest to leave the house. It occurs to him that even before it was rare that he'd think about their future together much farther than a week in advance, given all the fucked up shit they regularly went through, and it feels so good now to just think about how they can go to the beach whenever they want and they can find somewhere to live that isn't this godforsaken tower and they can just go out to bars hopefully without too many paparazzi getting on their cases.]

[It feels really, really amazing.]

[Terry comes back after 20 minutes or so with a bag full of clothes and underwear and even Maxxie's old phone because he's a helper. He also put on one of Maxxie's cardigans which looks ludicrous on him for several reasons. Probably the pastel colours and the fact that it's much too big are top of the list, but he lowkey thinks it'd work if he styled for it.]

[In his other hand is a bag full of food, which he puts on the coffee table in front of Maxxie.]

Okay, time for you to get decent.

[He plops the bag down next to Maxxie on the couch and then wanders to the kitchen to get cutlery and plates]

[Maxxie immediately starts rummaging around for something to put on, standing up and just getting dressed right there in the living room. It's just a basic t-shirt and jeans, though he notices they don't fit quite the same.]

Guess I've been skipping the gym a bit.

[He pulls at the waist of his jeans, looking down at the significant gap it creates. He's been skipping plenty of meals too, which probably has more to do with this than his slightly smaller glutes, though he doesn't share that information with Terry.]

[Terry comes back with a couple of plates and cutlery and beers; he doesn't notice any real difference, but he does raise an eyebrow at the gap in Maxxie's jeans.]

Maybe you could've fit in my sweatpants after all.

Mm, have to try it later.

[He throws himself down on the couch and waits for Terry to join him so he can cuddle up.]

[Terry puts the stuff down and sits with Maxxie, immediately cuddling up despite having no food yet.]

[Maxxie kisses Terry's face and then reaches for his plate and the food, immediately serving out fairly generous portions for himself and then offering them up to Terry one by one, grabbing his cutlery and drink before he leans back and starts to eat, only just now realizing how hungry he is.]

[Terry hums and curls himself up to tuck against Maxxie with his food, having a similar discovery once he starts to eat. Luckily he's so fucking skinny anyway that the lost weight doesn't really show anyway.]

[But anyway he's too busy putting food in his mouth to talk.]

[Maxxie smiles and keeps eating, totally content to eat in silence as long as he's all tangled up with Terry the way he is now. It's a little while before he bothers to speak again.]

Would it still be bad if we went out to eat some time? Y'know, with the paparazzi and all that?

[Terry gives that some thought and shakes his head.]

They're probably dying for some exposé on what's left, but I'm not about to let them stop us doing whatever.

[He looks up from his food to give Maxxie a smirk.]

They'll probably get bored of us pretty quick anyway. It's not like there's some scandal to uncover with us eating dinner.

I know, I just wanna feel... I dunno, like a normal couple for a bit.

[He smiles warmly at Terry.]

It was a bit fun sometimes though, wasn't it? Remember that fight they made up us having just 'cause I was frowning at brunch that one time? Think I was just hungover.

[Terry snorts in amusement.]

Or the time I got distracted looking in a music shop meant I secretly couldn't stand you.

[He pauses thoughtfully and then frowns.]

A lot of them were like that, actually.

Couldn't stand us being happy I guess.

[He shrugs and goes back for another bite of food.]

We're good together though.

Someone has to balance out all my depressing melodrama.

[Maxxie laughs and knocks him gently with his foot.]

Guess I need someone to keep me tethered to the earth sometimes too.

That's me, the ol' ball and chain. Weighing you down so you don't float away.

[He's (mostly) joking, and he says it all with an amused smile on his face.]

[Maxxie wriggles in a little closer with another laugh.]

You're the cutest ball and chain I've ever seen.

[Terry laughs too and shakes his head.]

That's gross.

Guess we're super gross then. 'Cause I'm adorable and you're adorable and we're adorable together.

Now I see why the tabloids hate us.

[He wrinkles his nose in mock disgust, but it's hard to pull off when he's still wearing Maxxie's cardigan.]

Yeah.

[He nods emphatically.]

They're just jealous.

I'd be jealous of me.

[200% serious as he takes a bite of a spring roll and cuddles in a little closer.]

Well, you do get to have sex with all this.

[He gestures to himself right before he stuffs way too many noodles into his mouth.]
