[So maybe Cayde heard through the grapevine there's a cache of Golden Age tech that got dug up around the Mare Nectaris, and maybe also that it was the Fallen who dug it up. Which, obviously, is unacceptable. That's totally 100% the reason he wants to get out there ASAP, just protecting the Vanguard's interests. Andal would thank him. Even Osiris would have to admit he's doing amazing.]

[Going on his own, amazing as he is, would be a suicide mission though, so obviously he's gotta get some backup. Ana's probably the biggest nerd he knows (Ikora notwithstanding, she's in a league of her own,) she'd be way into this. Cayde pretty much bursts into the lounge under the hangar looking for her — this is an emergency, they have to get there first before any other guardians get out there.]

Ana? There you are-- [he swans over all chill and whatnot] What are you doing, um... [he looks at his wrist but he's not wearing a watch. when was the last time he wore a watch? it doesn't matter. he puts his hands back down and on his hips.] Right now?

[ He's not totally sure how he ended up here. If pressed, he'd suggest Pihu picked the landing coordinates based on proximity alone, but that doesn't explain why he'd bothered to haul himself off his ship and out into the wilds when there's a perfectly serviceable bunk on board. Things he does know: it's safe enough, if only because it's one of the old buildings they'd camped in while scouting years back, it's out of the apparently persistent rain, and his wet cloak is a terrible cushion between him and the old, sturdy table he'd sprawled out on.

There's probably several solutions he hasn't thought of yet, but he likes this one where he waits for Cayde to come find him best of all. A real damsel-in-distress situation, if the distress includes alcohol and cold rain. Or maybe it's all just an excuse, because luring Cayde somewhere private proves SO difficult on the best of days.

Maybe he just wants some solitude. With someone else. It's hard to say and he won't look at it too closely with this much liquor in his system. ]

Is that you? [ There's no door in the doorway and the sound beyond could be footsteps crashing through the underbrush or it could be distant thunder, he doesn't know. Could be death coming for him, too, and wouldn't that be ironic? ]
