i think i'm losing my grip

[Eames is not unaware of the pattern that's started emerging over these last months. The way the tension and the anger in him starts to build like a pressure cooker left unattended until he's ready to fight with anyone at the drop of a hat. It's almost easy to forget he's not like this after a couple of weeks pass, he's never been an angry person. Never been particularly combative outside specific situations. As the time ticks over, it's about all he can do not to start a fistfight with anyone who looks at him.]

[But then they do a job, and Eames gets an outlet for that violence coiled up inside him, and when they get back he's calm again. Serene. Back to himself. It's not something Eames is oblivious to, he just feels like at this point it's a state of being he has to accept. Every conversation he and Arthur have had gets filed away in his mind as something else to be ashamed of, something else that's off-limits, so this is just what it is now until Arthur gets sick of putting up with him and they part ways.]

[At least they're at the good part of things right now, a few days out from a successful job. Eames, at least, is pretty relaxed. Idly going over a few law enforcement transcripts while he eats to check if there's anything out here they should be aware of.]

[There's a significant part of him that wants to just get on the bed, but Eames stops after he stumbles and turns to face Arthur.]

You have to be pushier than that.

[Oh is that how it is? Well, then Arthur shoves him. Hard enough this time to send him off his feet and onto the bed. He doesn't follow right away, deciding that now's the time to undo his belt and pants.]

[Eames doesn't fall gracefully, but he rights himself quickly. Looking up at Arthur for a long moment, just watching his hands before he catches himself and remembers they're not just here to fuck.]

You might get a little pushback from me sometimes, but it's all for show.

[He licks his lips and looks up at Arthur's face.]

Just a little show of defiance to say "make me."

[Arthur doesn't push his pants off right away, electing instead to grab the waistband of Eames' pants and roughly pull to get them off.]

So is all the foreplay important? If you came to me, said you needed this, and I just immediately bent you over the captain's chair, would that do it?

[It's partially a real question and partially just to put the image in Eames' mind to see if that enhances this moment they're having right now.]

[God-- Between that image and Arthur just ripping his pants off him, it takes Eames a moment to actually consider the question.]

Maybe.

[That's all he's got sorry.]

[Arthur laughs softly and shakes his head, a little smug. He gets Eames' pants off all the way and drops them on the floor, putting his hands on Eames' thighs as he crawls onto the bed.]

[He licks his lips again, watching Arthur the whole time.]

[Okay but hear him out. They haven't actually kissed a single time, and that's pretty important to Arthur so he leans forward to resolve that issue. It's not particularly aggressive or anything he just wants to get some mouth action in before they keep going.]

[Well there's a bit of tonal whiplash there, but Eames adjusts after a moment, lifting a hand to the side of Arthur's face with a soft hum.]

[Arthur stays there just long enough, nosing at Eames' cheek for a moment.]

That wasn't part of it, I just wanted to.

[He pulls back and starts pushing his own pants off his hips, hitching one of Eames' thighs up once one of his hands is free. He's still kind of deciding how to go about this, but he does have some instinct to fall back on.]

I know.

[He smiles briefly up at Arthur, just watching him for the moment to see where he goes with this before he says anything.]

[Arthur spits in his hand in lieu of any proper lube, hooking his hand behind Eames' knee and roughly tilting and repositioning his hips with the leverage. He's just going right for it, not taking his time but not hasty either, pushing into Eames with a focused look on his face.]

[Oh-- Eames makes a surprised noise, half a gasp and a curse when Arthur just goes right for it. He arches and twists a little, reaching to grab at him with a hand. It's not a complaint, he's just intensely overwhelmed for the moment here.]

[Arthur grabs Eames' wrist and leans forward to pin it to the bed, other hand still on Eames' thigh to keep his hips at the right angle. He's not moving his hips just yet.]

How's this?

[He has to resist the urge to tell Arthur to give him a minute because that is explicitly against the theme here, so he's kind of just reduced to letting out a helpless whine as he tugs a little at his wrist in Arthur's hand. It takes him a full couple of moments to swallow and look up at Arthur and nod.]

It's good.

[Arthur takes another deep breath and starts rocking his hips. It's a good angle for him but he's not sure how long he can hold it, so he just decides to try and ramp it up as fast as possible. It's not long before he's slamming into Eames with almost as much force as he can muster. It feels good — like, really good — but he focuses on Eames' reaction as much as he can.]

[Eames shouts in surprise and grabs at Arthur's shoulder, it's a harsh grip as he swears and struggles to find some purchase to rock back against Arthur at least a little. He's just... Immediately reduced to a loud, moaning, swearing mess.]

[Well all of that is very good. Very encouraging. Which is good because Arthur wants to just keep on going, trying to pick up the pace just a little bit without sacrificing force. He thinks about telling Eames how hot he is, but he's already breathing too hard to get the words strung together.]

[This whole thing, from the second he got on the bed, has just been a very intense surprise. Case in point, the way his fingers dig in where he's holding Arthur's shoulder and curses in some other language moments before he comes very suddenly.]

[Arthur utters a "holy shit" on the edge of his breath, and another moment later he follows with his own orgasm. He does his best to keep moving all the way through it, keeping the intensity high to keep Eames overwhelmed until he's spent.]

[He's a mess, whimpering between moans and soft swears. Even when Arthur's done, Eames is going to need a good few minutes before he does anything except shudder and let out shaky moans.]

[Well Arthur will at least let him relax while he recovers. He releases Eames' wrist and slowly pulls out, lowering Eames' thigh to the bed and taking the hand that was just pressing bruises into his shoulder. He kisses Eames' palm, sitting back on his feet and trying to catch his breath.]

[Eames brushes his thumb lightly over Arthur's cheek fondly and lets his arm fall limply to the bed while he catches his breath.]

Can't say I saw that coming. [wait--] Or myself.

[Arthur snorts and shakes his head. He probably deserves to lay down after all that, so he crawls over Eames' and throws himself down on his back beside him. What an effort.]

[Eames lazily pats Arthur's chest when he lays down. That's all he has energy for.]
