[Eames, for the most part, is pretty good at avoiding serious injuries, but things happen. People make mistakes, get caught out or outdone. Also weapons are a thing.]

[The upside is that Eames can take a lot of pain. The downside is that he is currently in a lot of pain. Battered and bloody with a few nasty wounds to show for it when he lets himself into Arthur's place. Arthur keeps a first aid kit, he knows that, and moreover he keeps some medical supplies he absolutely should not legally have. He tries to remember where Arthur keeps it, turning to go in his kitchen. Grabbing a sharp-looking knife in one hand as he starts looking through a cupboard he vaguely remembers as storage with little regard for the blood he's leaving everywhere. Calling Arthur's name at the same time to see if he's home.]

[Arthur turns his head a little bit to kiss Eames' cheek.]

[Eames makes a pleased noise at that and tilts his head a little in a demand for more.]

[Arthur happily provides, keeping Eames close.]

[Good, perfect. Eames absorbs all this affection with a smile. Part of him feels like he could do this all day, just laying here soaking up Arthur's attention. Another part of him is mostly just... worn out.]

I'm so fucking tired.

[And he's not happy about it.]

[Arthur hums in understanding.]

Maybe you need more sleep.

[He's quiet for a moment, but it's entirely because he knows this is going to make him sound like a whiny child, but he can't think of a better way to say it.]

I don't want more sleep.

Well, what do you want?

[He's patient, even if Eames does sound like a whiny child.]

Other than sex.

I'll be completely honest, a lot of my thoughts are still on sex.

[He means it as a joke, even if it obviously has to be true.]

[Arthur laughs softly.]

I offered to blow you.

Mm, but that's not what I want.

[It's not the same at all!!]

I know but it's all you can get right now.

[He shakes his head.]

I'll just have to live without it then.

[An amused hum rumbles in Arthur's throat.]

Maybe in a few days when you've healed up enough.

Only maybe?

[He noses at Arthur's jaw fondly.]

How do I improve on those odds?

[He laughs.]

Just gonna have to be nice to me I guess.

Hm... I guess maybe isn't that bad.

[Isn't he hilarious.]

[Arthur shakes his head with a soft snort.]

[Eames laughs softly and lifts his head to kiss Arthur.]

[Arthur kisses him, making an affectionate noise as he brushes his thumb back and forth on Eames' waist.]

[Eames hums happily and pulls away just enough to nose at Arthur's face.]

I'm going to go back to sleep.

[Arthur smiles at the attention.]

That's probably a good idea.

[He really doesn't want to, but he's so exhausted. There's a fatigue that feels like it'll never be satisfied, so he should probably do something about that or he'll never recover.]

[Eames presses a quick kiss to Arthur's lips and murmurs a soft apology before he moves to lay on his back, because he has the good sense to know that he's just inviting a lot of pain and blood by staying on his side for any length of time.]

[Arthur lets Eames roll onto his back and settles in close to him on his side. He's not tired enough to fall asleep but he'll stay until Eames does.]

[it doesn't take him long. He puts an arm around Arthur as best he can, drifting off quickly once he's settled. Probably for most of the day if Arthur doesn't wake him up.]
