[Eames, for the most part, is pretty good at avoiding serious injuries, but things happen. People make mistakes, get caught out or outdone. Also weapons are a thing.]

[The upside is that Eames can take a lot of pain. The downside is that he is currently in a lot of pain. Battered and bloody with a few nasty wounds to show for it when he lets himself into Arthur's place. Arthur keeps a first aid kit, he knows that, and moreover he keeps some medical supplies he absolutely should not legally have. He tries to remember where Arthur keeps it, turning to go in his kitchen. Grabbing a sharp-looking knife in one hand as he starts looking through a cupboard he vaguely remembers as storage with little regard for the blood he's leaving everywhere. Calling Arthur's name at the same time to see if he's home.]

[Oh wow is he going to have to turn down sex from Arthur. Eames doesn't like that. Eames swallows again and shakes his head, tugging a little on Arthur's arm to get him to lay down.]

You don't have to. I think I can survive without sex for a few days.

Well, I was just going to go down on you, but...

[He raises an eyebrow at Eames, giving him one more chance.]

[He shakes his head a little sadly.]

That's not really what I want right now.

Okay.

[Arthur nods and lays down, snuggling in to Eames' side without actually jostling him at all.]

[If he can't get fucked he's going to at least get some good cuddling in, after a few moments consideration, Eames turns onto his side so he can cuddle up to Arthur properly.]

[Arthur smiles softly and puts his hand on Eames' jaw.]

[Eames smiles back and presses his forehead to Arthur's, draping an arm across him.]

[God what a gorgeous man.]

Tell me if the potion starts to wear off. I can make you another one.

[Eames makes some noise of acknowledgment, but he doesn't really take it in. Most of his attention is on Arthur's body next to his, and how much he adores this man. He trails his fingers up and down Arthur's side and closes his eyes.]

[Arthur hums happily at that. He feels like he could lay here for hours if that's what Eames wanted.]

[That is what Eames wants. On some level he's aware he should probably eat something, definitely should drink more water, but he tucks his head under Arthur's and tightens his arm around him and that's honestly all he wants to think about right now.]

[Arthur doesn't really get this, doesn't really get why Eames came here or what they are to each other, but he knows it feels good and right and every part of him wants to stay here and cuddle and make Eames feel better. He idly combs his fingers through Eames' hair and closes his eyes, feeling the heat coming off Eames just enjoying it.]

[Eames sighs softly, almost happily, enjoying the closeness, the way he can hear Arthur breathe and the way his fingers in his hair are soothing, but it all still makes him feel a little bad. Like this isn't something he should get to enjoy right now.]

I really am sorry though.

[It comes out a little muffled because of how he refuses to move his face, but that's unimportant.]

[Arthur noses gently at him.]

For what?

[He sighs.]

I shouldn't have come here like this.

[specifiercity]

[Arthur hums.]

I'm glad you did.

I didn't want to worry you.

[He sighs and nuzzles a little into Arthur's neck.]

[Arthur's silent for a moment as he thinks about that, smoothing down Eames' hair.]

I'm glad I got to help.

[There's a touch of wryness when he speaks.]

Not as glad as I should be.

[specifiercity]

[Arthur turns his head a little bit to kiss Eames' cheek.]

[Eames makes a pleased noise at that and tilts his head a little in a demand for more.]

[Arthur happily provides, keeping Eames close.]

[Good, perfect. Eames absorbs all this affection with a smile. Part of him feels like he could do this all day, just laying here soaking up Arthur's attention. Another part of him is mostly just... worn out.]

I'm so fucking tired.

[And he's not happy about it.]

[Arthur hums in understanding.]

Maybe you need more sleep.

[He's quiet for a moment, but it's entirely because he knows this is going to make him sound like a whiny child, but he can't think of a better way to say it.]

I don't want more sleep.
