[This is one of those moments in life where knowing something isn't the same as being at all prepared to face it. Eames has known all about the types of people Arthur works with for some time now; killers with an incredible strength and hunger just below the surface-- some much older than Arthur and stronger for it.]
[He doesn't know if that was the case this time, or what even caused the fight, but he knows that Arthur's in a bad dtate and getting hom home was a struggle. He eventually manages to get Arthur to the bed, laying him down as if he really knows what to do here.]
Arthur-- Arthur, look at me.

Arthur-- Arthur, look at me.

[It's not the same kind of feeling he's used to, something kind of uplifting and airy, but it's been a while and he knows Arthur didn't drink as much as he usually would, so Eames chalks it up to that. But he still feels good; relaxed now there's been no disasters or anything of the sort.]
... You didn't take much.
no subject
[No mincing words about that. He's not too shy to say he's tentative. He has good reason to be.]
no subject
[Best not think about that.]
We're going to have to think of something other than the glove though. I can't wear that during sex.
no subject
Well, chains are still an option. I think that's getting a bit ahead of ourselves, though.
no subject
I know it's a ways of, but we'll have to think about it eventually. [He pauses, and then he's almost a little worried when he adds:] Unless you don't want to...?
no subject
[Arthur's tone is reassuring but there's definitely a hint of his own desire in there too.]
I just think we have a long way to go from this to that.

no subject
You mean while I'm drinking from you?
no subject
[He rubs his face and shifts a little to try and lay down on the couch. Suddenly he's decided he doesn't want to be sitting up anymore.]
It's not something I'd even considered, but just then I had to keep reminding myself about the glove.
no subject
We'll come up with something.
no subject
[He sighs, none to pleased with this, but the more he thinks about it the less he likes the glove. It'll do until they come up with something better — the first solution is rarely the best, after all — but god he hopes that's soon.]
We could always get a referee.
no subject
[That one's just a full no. Even if there was someone he would want around in their home at any point other than designated small gathering times he wouldn't want them around for that. Talk about killing the mood. At least the glove didn't have feelings and judgements it could potentially share.]

You don't like the idea of someone whose job is to watch us get all hot and heavy with eachother?
[It was meant to be a joke, but now he's said it, the idea kind of works for him. His mind has pretty much just taken the idea and run with it the second he stopped talking. Kind of a shame Arthur would never go for it.]
no subject
No, and particularly not when it's hot and heavy and bloody.
no subject
That's, uh. [ahem] We'll just have to think of something else.
[SAVED IT.]
no subject
[...option two it is.]
I still have to go out and stop in with a few people. Are you going to take a nap?
no subject
[Eames sighs, relieved that Arthur hasn't decided to be awful about this, and nods.]
Yeah. I could do with the rest.
no subject
[Arthur pulls away and stands up, stretching with a sigh.]
I won't be too long. You want anything before I go?
no subject
Nah. I'll see you later.
no subject
[After he walks in the door he pokes his head into the kitchen and the living room, looking around for something to entertain him.]
Eames?
no subject
no subject
[Yeah like there's a ton of stuff that needs to be cleaned and everything. He can tidy up. That's a thing he can do.]
no subject
You okay?
[Did you seriously get home and immediately start cleaning]
no subject
[Arthur looks up from what he's doing and smiles warmly at Eames, immediately coming over for a kiss.]
I'm great. I was just cleaning things up a bit.
no subject
[He slips his arms around Arthur's waist and kisses him back.]
Everything went well, I take it.
