[It's been on his mind a lot over the last few weeks, the idea of becoming a vampire. Partially because he's looking older than Arthur these days, and if he lets that go on too long it's going to get pretty weird, but moreover he just feels ready]

[Anxious as fuck, but ready.]

[The idea of it is terrifying — he'd gone to Mal for an explanation of the finer details rather than worry Arthur with his questions, seeing as she's actually done it before and Arthur hasn't — the idea that he could just... Die. It's not one that sits easy with Eames. He rather likes being alive, in fact half the point of becoming a vampire is to keep being alive, for a stretch on the word, forever.]

[So he's been dealing with that a lot, pretending otherwise whenever Arthur notices him being distant or pensive so he can work out his feelings on this without any outside influence. He knows Arthur wouldn't be mad if he changed his mind, it's a huge change to undertake, but it's not that he might not want this so much as wondering if the risks are really worth it.]

[They are.]

[But now they need to talk about it, so Eames is psyching himself up to do exactly that. Offered to stay in and make dinner while Arthur's off doing his errands to give himself some time alone to think about it. Maybe making some significant progress on a bottle of wine to calm his nerves, maybe it'll slow him down enough Arthur won't realise how keyed up he is the second he gets home.]

[Arthur entertains that for a while, humming under Eames and feeling up and down his back. It feels like it's approaching a crossroads after a little while at which point Arthur pulls away and looks up at Eames with obvious desire but pragmatism as well.]

[Eames groans in complaint, frowning back at Arthur because he feels like he knows where this is going.]

[Arthur doesn't take his eyes off of Eames.]

Maybe we should lock the door.

[That's not what he expected at all.]

[Eames nods, agreeing, but he can't really bring himself to move yet. He turns his head to look at the door and sighs.]

Don't suppose we can lock it from here, can we?

[Arthur shakes his head, looking disappointed. He can’t really move with Eames on top of him though so the ball’s in Eames’ court.]

[Eames considers getting up to do it, but truthfully he doesn't fully trust himself not to just bolt out the door after whatever delicious smelling person he might catch a whiff of while he's there.]

[He opts to turn back to Arthur to steal a quick kiss and then slips off his lap onto the couch next to him so he can do it.]

[Arthur gets up and goes to the door, locking it at the handle and doing up the little chain door guard as well. After that he turns and looks at Eames, eyes dark with desire as he undoes the buttons on his shirt and comes back to the couch.]

[Eames isn't wasting any time; the second Arthur's up, he's taking his clothes off, intent being to be naked by the time Arthur turns back around. He smirks a little when Arthur's done with the door, partially smugness at his successful disrobing in such a short amount of time, and reclines while he waits for Arthur to join him.]

[Arthur isn't subtle about checking Eames out, sinking down onto the couch once his buttons are all undone and leaning in for a hungry kiss. He hasn't been this bold in years and while he hopes to keep Eames relativley quiet it's inevitable that at least Antonia will know what's going on in their room. However, to Arthur's minor surprise, he doesn't particularly care.]

[Eames has none of that on his mind, his own concerns extending about as far as the immediacy with which he needs to be touching Arthur. Sitting up to lean into the kiss and put his hands on Arthur's chest as soon as he's close enough.]

[Arthur reaches across to put his hand on Eames' hip, quickly slipping it even farther to grab his ass and dragging it down his thigh.]

[Eames exhales a pleased sigh, dragging his hands down to Arthur's hips and try to pull him a little closer.]

[Arthur shuffles just a little closer at Eames' touch, happy to accommodate him in whatever position he chooses to be in. He does want to get things moving, however, so he moves his hand from one of Eames' legs from the other, a firm grip on his inner thigh that starts up high and makes its way down to Eames' knee when he gently pulls it to hook over one of his own and spread Eames' legs apart.]

[It's then that he pulls away briefly to stick two fingers in his mouth, covering Eames' lips with his own while he slips those fingers down to rub back and forth over Eames' entrance and start getting him warmed up.]

[If it was possible, Eames would have a deep flush going already, but he's already moaning softly too. He slips his own hand down to press against Arthur over his pants and get things moving there too.]

[Arthur gently hushes Eames when he moans, bringing his free hand around to press his thumb to Eames’ lip, but it’s almost more like he’s appreciating the shape and fullness of them instead. His bites on his own moan when Eames’ hand is on him, and as if he wants to make the whole situation worse he presses his fingers into Eames and curls them to see how tight he is.]

[Eames bites his lip, making a choked noise in the back of his throat. He rolls his hips down against Arthur's hand and lets his head fall back, hand moving a little more firmly against Arthur at the same time.]

[Arthur doesn't spend so much energy being acutely aware of the noise they're making but now he's actively trying to gauge whether the loud music, muffled through the door, is enough to drown them out for a human walking by. A vampire could easily focus in and hear every sound they make, but as Arthur knows you can't win them all. He just tries to sense the volume at which the humans next door could hear them or not and aims to stay below that without compromising too much of the experience.]

[In some ways it enhances the experience, but that's just his opinion after hearing Eames try and stop himself. Arthur drops his head to kiss Eames' neck as he curls his fingers a little harder, pumping them in and out at a shallow but insistent pace.]

[Eames makes another noise in the back of his throat, the hand he has on Arthur's dick becoming totally useless and resting where it is instead of actually doing anything. He's quickly overwhelmed, and it takes a real effort on his part to even think about anything except how he feels in the moment, looking up at Arthur with his brows pulled together in concentration.]

[Arthur hums an affirmative sounding noise against Eames' neck but doesn't relent with his fingers. He's really enjoying the reaction he's getting from Eames right now and would like a little bit more.]

[That's enough for Eames and he brings his arms up to loop around Arthur's neck with a quiet moan, closing his eyes to let himself get back where he was a moment ago. It's not exactly difficult for him, biting his lip to try and keep any noises he makes quiet. He looks over at the door, wondering briefly if anyone could hear if they stopped to listen, and the thought sends sparks up his spine. Something that has his back arching and him murmuring Arthur's voice in desperation.]

[Arthur works a few more of those sounds out of Eames before he finally pulls away and slips his fingers out of him. He has to shuffle a bit to get his wallet out of his back pocket but when he does he quickly retrieves the condom and tosses the wallet on the table in front of him. He's mostly hard already but he hasn't bothered to undo his pants just yet. It's a little uncomfortable but kissing Eames right now seems more important.]

[Eames relaxes slightly when Arthur pulls his fingers out and kisses him eagerly, holding Arthur's face in both hands. He pulls back a little, murmuring softly against Arthur's lips.]

I'm going to need you to sit back and put that condom on.

[Arthur smirks and leans back against the couch, looking down as he undoes his pants and pushes them down far enough to get his dick out. He rolls the condom on quickly and gives himself a couple pumps to get a little harder, steadying his breath patiently.]

[Eames doesn't waste any time, though he does allow himself a moment to just enjoy the sight before him as he pushes himself upright, but it's just a moment. He's not sure if someone will come check up on them if they're in here a while, but it's best not to push it.]

[He puts his knees down either side of Arthur and puts a hand down on Arthur's shoulder, spitting in his other palm and gently slipping his hand under Arthur's to take over.]

[Arthur's pretty confident no one's going to knock on the door unless there's a fire or something, so his mind is totally on Eames at the moment and how gorgeous he looks in his lap. He keeps watching as Eames' hand takes over, humming happily as he puts his hands on Eames' thighs.]
