[This is one of those moments in life where knowing something isn't the same as being at all prepared to face it. Eames has known all about the types of people Arthur works with for some time now; killers with an incredible strength and hunger just below the surface-- some much older than Arthur and stronger for it.]
[He doesn't know if that was the case this time, or what even caused the fight, but he knows that Arthur's in a bad dtate and getting hom home was a struggle. He eventually manages to get Arthur to the bed, laying him down as if he really knows what to do here.]
Arthur-- Arthur, look at me.

Arthur-- Arthur, look at me.

[He looks up at him.]
Last chance.

Get on with it.

[He doesn't waste a whole lot of time doing that, however, mostly making sure Eames isn't going to flinch away. He tightens his grip just enough that Eames can still pull it away, and then he bares his teeth and sinks them into Eames' flesh.]
[Fuck, he forgot how good this feels.]
[The blood doesn't flow too fast - he didn't pick somewhere that would drain out quickly - but it's enough that he gets a mouthful of it relatively quick. He lets out a soft, happy hum as he starts to taste it.]

[It's not that it stops hurting, but something else takes over and pushes it to the back of his mind. Despite himself, Eames lets out a soft groan and he relaxes against the back of the couch a little. Watching Arthur, frustrated by how much he wants to reach out and touch him- brush his fingers through Arthur's hair.]
[This glove is stupid.]

[Eames is the priority though, and Arthur murmurs that he'll be back as he gently puts down his arm and gets up to go to the kitchen. He washes off his face in the sink and rinses out his mouth quickly but thoroughly, and then he comes back to Eames with a damp facecloth to put over the open wound.]

[He looks up and gives him a soft smile.]
You okay?
no subject
[Like into his arms so he feels a little less exposed and vulnerable and worried like somehow this is going to make Arthur leave or he's about to die or--]
[Christ, is this what it's like to be Arthur? Because it's horrid.]

[He waits a little to speak, a couple of moments to even out his feelings (and his breathing a little.)]
How was it for you?
no subject
It was good. You always taste good.
no subject
I didn't even eat anything special.

[He grins and shuffles up to give Eames a kiss, just a light one for now in case there's still any leftover blood taste in his mouth.]
no subject
[Eames laughs, as if he's ever put upon by compliments, and puts his arm back around Arthur.]
I love you. [He says it with a Serious Expression, one that quickly gets swapped out for a raised eyebrow and a smirk.] Objectively too much, but you're just going to have to put up with it.
no subject
I'll learn to endure it.
[And he goes in for another kiss. There's a moment of silence where he just enjoys the feeling of Eames below him.]
How are you feeling?
no subject
[It's not the same kind of feeling he's used to, something kind of uplifting and airy, but it's been a while and he knows Arthur didn't drink as much as he usually would, so Eames chalks it up to that. But he still feels good; relaxed now there's been no disasters or anything of the sort.]
... You didn't take much.
no subject
[No mincing words about that. He's not too shy to say he's tentative. He has good reason to be.]
no subject
[Best not think about that.]
We're going to have to think of something other than the glove though. I can't wear that during sex.
no subject
Well, chains are still an option. I think that's getting a bit ahead of ourselves, though.
no subject
I know it's a ways of, but we'll have to think about it eventually. [He pauses, and then he's almost a little worried when he adds:] Unless you don't want to...?
no subject
[Arthur's tone is reassuring but there's definitely a hint of his own desire in there too.]
I just think we have a long way to go from this to that.

no subject
You mean while I'm drinking from you?
no subject
[He rubs his face and shifts a little to try and lay down on the couch. Suddenly he's decided he doesn't want to be sitting up anymore.]
It's not something I'd even considered, but just then I had to keep reminding myself about the glove.
no subject
We'll come up with something.
