[His voice trails off, feeling a little uncertain of himself. Almost painfully earnest when he looks at Maxxie, searching his face for a moment before he tries to speak again.]

[It's kind of a joke for Maxxie's sake because Terry can sense how tense he is, and he shifts to get closer to him. Not on top of him just yet, but close enough to lay with a leg loosely tangled with one of Maxxie's and gently nudge his legs apart to trace his fingers along the crook of his inner thigh until he finds his entrance, circling it lightly while he waits to feel Maxxie relax.]

[Maxxie lets out a laugh that betrays how nervous he is as he watches Terry's hand. Despite the fact that he's telling himself to relax he's worried that he's built this up too much in his head and/or that he's going to make it terrible somehow. It's all he can do not to tense up when Terry's fingers press against him, and he just bites his lip and scans Terry's face endlessly to calm himself down.]

[Terry's patience is almost endless, waiting as long as he needs to. It's somewhat for his own peace of mind, to make sure he doesn't hurt Maxxie, but even if it's been a while they have plenty of experience together. Enough that it bolsters Terry a little and lets him rely on his instincts to know when Maxxie's relaxed enough for him to slowly press a finger into him.]

[Maxxie gasps at the pressure, digging his fingers into Terry's skin where he's rested his hand on Terry's chest. It feels good but it has been a while and he already is so nervous about this. He keeps focused on Terry's face, nuzzling in a little as he breathes and pushes himself to relax.]

[He almost stops when Maxxie's fingers dig into his chest, but he doesn't, not entirely. He's fairly confident he knows Maxxie well enough to know when something's wrong, but he's hesitant to keep going without verbal confirmation from Maxxie.]

[Nuzzling back, he murmurs softly;] You okay?

[Maxxie licks his lips and nods, pulling away only a touch.]

[There's a moment of hesitation before he goes on.]

He's hoping that's somewhat reassuring for Maxxie — not looking to invalidate his feelings any because to some degree or another he gets it, but they've done this a bunch of times too. Maybe it's not mind-blowing every time but it's never been bad. He's really the last person Maxxie needs to be nervous with.]

[He cuts himself off with a stuttered breath as he shifts and reminds himself that Terry's finger is still inside of him. He swallows and steadies his voice again quickly.]

[He's not usually quite this confident, but something about how emotionally charged this is and how nervous it's making Maxxie makes him feel like he can handle this, take the stress of a moment like this for the both of them.]

[Pulling back a little to look at his face, Terry offers a small smile, slowly starting to move his hand again.]

Just relax and let me take care of you, okay?

[Maxxie smiles hesitantly and bites his lip, pressing his hips down subtly against Terry's hand and lifting his head to nose at him for another kiss.]

[Terry breathes a short laugh, all affection as he leans into Maxxie for that kiss and starts working his hand seriously again. He moves a little while he does, shifting to straddle Maxxie's thigh so he can comfortably card his fingers through Maxxie's hair too.]

[Maxxie focuses all his attention on kissing Terry and relaxing, letting out a soft moan when he finally succeeds. It's not that he hasn't done this at all himself, but that's a lot different than giving someone else the control over how hard and how fast things happen. He trusts Terry and he knows the man has always erred on the side of slow when it comes to these things but there's still an extra step in there when it comes to relaxing into this.]

[Terry murmurs something gently encouraging when he feels like Maxxie's relaxing just a little more, once they're past this point he imagines Maxxie will be a bit more at ease, but the anticipation is something else. Especially when it's been a while. Terry can only imagine the time he'd have trying to calm down if he were in Maxxie's place.]

[He takes a little longer than he's used to for both their sakes, just to be doubly sure he's ready when Terry pulls back and presses back in with two fingers, pulling back a little to watch Maxxie's face for any signs that it's too much.]

[The stretch stings a little bit and his eyebrows knit together but Maxxie gazes up at Terry in rapt concentration as he pushes through that to pleasure.]

[Terry smiles back and leans back in to kiss Maxxie's cheek, very methodically moving his hand slow to ease him in before he starts up toward something that feels good too.]

[Maxxie lets out a soft sound of pleasure, spreading his legs just a touch to give Terry more room without pushing him away.]

[Terry kisses him again.] I'm so glad you're here.

[Maxxie lets out a hum that betrays a tremble in his chest.]
