[Maxxie shakes his head, smiling. His hand is still moving gently.]

[He's a little distracted, it's hard to stop the negativity before it makes it to his mouth. He shakes his head, frowning.]

They've done it so many times before but it's probably been months for both of them and Maxxie's got taht feeling in his gut like it's going to hurt again. It probably is going to hurt at first, but he knows how to get over that. He also knows that he really needs Terry inside of him ASAP so he hands over the lube and lays back down.]

[He takes the tube, pretending not to be as anxious as he feels, and squirts a generour amount into his palm, rubbing his hands together to warm it up.]

I mean we want to take our time, right?

[It's kind of a joke for Maxxie's sake because Terry can sense how tense he is, and he shifts to get closer to him. Not on top of him just yet, but close enough to lay with a leg loosely tangled with one of Maxxie's and gently nudge his legs apart to trace his fingers along the crook of his inner thigh until he finds his entrance, circling it lightly while he waits to feel Maxxie relax.]

[Maxxie lets out a laugh that betrays how nervous he is as he watches Terry's hand. Despite the fact that he's telling himself to relax he's worried that he's built this up too much in his head and/or that he's going to make it terrible somehow. It's all he can do not to tense up when Terry's fingers press against him, and he just bites his lip and scans Terry's face endlessly to calm himself down.]

[Terry's patience is almost endless, waiting as long as he needs to. It's somewhat for his own peace of mind, to make sure he doesn't hurt Maxxie, but even if it's been a while they have plenty of experience together. Enough that it bolsters Terry a little and lets him rely on his instincts to know when Maxxie's relaxed enough for him to slowly press a finger into him.]

[Maxxie gasps at the pressure, digging his fingers into Terry's skin where he's rested his hand on Terry's chest. It feels good but it has been a while and he already is so nervous about this. He keeps focused on Terry's face, nuzzling in a little as he breathes and pushes himself to relax.]

[He almost stops when Maxxie's fingers dig into his chest, but he doesn't, not entirely. He's fairly confident he knows Maxxie well enough to know when something's wrong, but he's hesitant to keep going without verbal confirmation from Maxxie.]

[Nuzzling back, he murmurs softly;] You okay?

[Maxxie licks his lips and nods, pulling away only a touch.]

[There's a moment of hesitation before he goes on.]

And I want you so bad it's making me nervous.

[It's totally an admission - not meant to be sexy at all. He's embarassed but he needs this at the same time.]

[He turns his head a little as he speaks, looking to leave a light kiss wherever his lips land on Maxxie's face. He's hoping that's somewhat reassuring for Maxxie — not looking to invalidate his feelings any because to some degree or another he gets it, but they've done this a bunch of times too. Maybe it's not mind-blowing every time but it's never been bad. He's really the last person Maxxie needs to be nervous with.]

[He cuts himself off with a stuttered breath as he shifts and reminds himself that Terry's finger is still inside of him. He swallows and steadies his voice again quickly.]

I just want it to be good.

I've got you, Max.

[He's not usually quite this confident, but something about how emotionally charged this is and how nervous it's making Maxxie makes him feel like he can handle this, take the stress of a moment like this for the both of them.]

[Pulling back a little to look at his face, Terry offers a small smile, slowly starting to move his hand again.]

Just relax and let me take care of you, okay?

[Maxxie smiles hesitantly and bites his lip, pressing his hips down subtly against Terry's hand and lifting his head to nose at him for another kiss.]
