[He makes a soft, distressed noise, but he tries valiantly to just blow straight past it with a joke.]

I'm probably gonna sleep for a while.

[Maxxie shrugs.]

S'okay. You got tons of mugs I can piss in so I don't even have to leave the room.

[Aren't you glad this is your boyfriend?]

[traumatizing]

[WELL. Actually that helps. Because he's fairly certain a dream Maxxie wouldn't say that. Terry snorts a quiet laugh and rearranges himself a little so he can press his face just. Right into Maxxie's chest. It's not going to take him long to fall asleep, but honestly he's going to sleep for at least ten hours, he's running on fumes at this point.]

Just don't get any piss on the bed.

[Maxxie laughs softly and puts his hand on Terry's back, rubbing it gently to ease him into sleep. He's almost definitely not going to piss in any mugs but he does manage to get back to sleep. If he wakes up again he just stays put, thinking about how great it is to be back with Terry, looking around the room and thinking about how great it's going to be to put everything right together.]

[It's the first peaceful sleep Terry's had since, well. Since Maxxie left. He's just so warm and solid, Terry feels so safe here. He always has. He cuddles in even more in his sleep, as if it was possible, every time it even feels a little like Maxxie might be moving to get up or leave he clings a little harder and moans softly in complaint.]

[He's never been a morning person — or a waking up person more accurately — and where Maxxie was happy and nuzzled at Terry when he woke up, Terry groans and presses his face into Maxxie's chest. He has no idea how long he's been asleep but it's not enough because it's never enough.]

[Maxxie laughs and rubs Terry's back again.]

How did you sleep?

[traumatizing]

Good. I haven't slept that well in--

[oh. um. uh.]

Well, you know.

[notahobby]

[It takes Maxxie a moment but he catches on to what Terry's saying and presses his lips together, looking down and away in shame. He's of course been consumed with guilt on and off about leaving Terry and that kind of hits him right in the gut.]

[traumatizing]

[Terry lifts his head to look at Maxxie, and he frowns.]

Don't.

[He shimmies a little so he can cup Maxxie's cheek and try and coax him to look at him again without it feeling ridiculous.]

I wanted you to go. I still kind of...

[No, that's where the bad thoughts are. He shakes his head and tries again.]

Don't feel bad.

I do.

[He looks back at Terry but it's with a pathetic look on his face.]

I never should have made you feel like that. I should have realized that that was more important than what I thought I wanted.

[traumatizing]

No, that's not...

[Terry sits up this time, which he regrets immediately but it's too late it's happening. He frowns and reaches to brush his fingers through Maxxie's hair.]

I want you to have your family, and your old friends and... Whatever else goes on in England. I love you so much, and if it's a question of that or me, I'm always gonna encourage you to go for that.

[notahobby]

[Maxxie shakes his head.]

But I love you too, and that's how I should have been. It would have been hard, but... I hate that I made you hurt like that.

[traumatizing]

I know, but it's okay.

[He keeps combing his fingers through Maxxie's hair, looking down at him tiredly, but otherwise understanding and kinda serene.]

You're here now.

[notahobby]

[Maxxie's expression doesn't change.]

Are you sure?

[traumatizing]

I'm never gonna hold that against you.

[notahobby]

[Maxxie sighs and brings his hand up to Terry's face again.]

Okay.

[He falls quiet for a moment.]

So you feel better?

[traumatizing]

I mean, other than how much I wanna go back to sleep.

[He offers up a tired smile. He'll be fine after about 7 coffees.]

[notahobby]

I hate to say it, but maybe we should get out of bed.

[Coffee sounds good.]

[traumatizing]

No.

[He flops back down dramatically]

I don't want to.

[notahobby]

[Maxxie smooths down Terry's hair, laughing softly.]

Come on, I know you want coffee.

[traumatizing]

I always want coffee.

[Said directly into a pillow.]

[notahobby]

Well don't make me go do it alone. You know I never do it exactly the way you like it.

[traumatizing]

[There's a distinct 'ugh' from where his face is smushed into the pillow before Terry rolls out of bed with a groan of complaint, tiredly padding toward the kitchen and picking up miscellaneous cups and mugs on his way to put them by the sink for dealing with when he's more conscious.]

[Maxxie follows behind, finding (or making) a clear spot on Terry's counter where he can sit down and watch the magic happen. He's just enjoying being around Terry right now, watching him move around and just exist in this world. It's a little bit beautiful.]

[traumatizing]

[Terry is a dab hand at the coffee machine by now, and he puts it all on quickly enough and lays out a pair of clean mugs for it too. Immediately moving between Maxxie's legs to rest his head on his chest and wrap his arms around him while it does its thing.]
