[It's been on his mind a lot over the last few weeks, the idea of becoming a vampire. Partially because he's looking older than Arthur these days, and if he lets that go on too long it's going to get pretty weird, but moreover he just feels ready]

[The idea of it is terrifying — he'd gone to Mal for an explanation of the finer details rather than worry Arthur with his questions, seeing as she's actually done it before and Arthur hasn't — the idea that he could just... Die. It's not one that sits easy with Eames. He rather likes being alive, in fact half the point of becoming a vampire is to keep being alive, for a stretch on the word, forever.]

[So he's been dealing with that a lot, pretending otherwise whenever Arthur notices him being distant or pensive so he can work out his feelings on this without any outside influence. He knows Arthur wouldn't be mad if he changed his mind, it's a huge change to undertake, but it's not that he might not want this so much as wondering if the risks are really worth it.]

[But now they need to talk about it, so Eames is psyching himself up to do exactly that. Offered to stay in and make dinner while Arthur's off doing his errands to give himself some time alone to think about it. Maybe making some significant progress on a bottle of wine to calm his nerves, maybe it'll slow him down enough Arthur won't realise how keyed up he is the second he gets home.]

[Arthur's working off his clothes at a slower pace, eyebrows raised at the extent of Eames' tan.]

[Perfect. Eames lifts a hand to Arthur's face and leans up into the kiss happily, following Arthur's lead on the kind of kiss it is.]

[Arthur's hand finds its way to Eames' hip and stops there, thumb brushing back and forth. He kisses his way back up Eames' neck and to his ear.]

What do you want to do tonight?

[Whenever he gets all this kind of attention, it practically turns him to putty in Arthur's hands and he's sure Arthur must know it. Maybe he resents that just a tiny bit and that's what stops him blurting out that Arthur can do whatever he wants with him.]

[Eames instead wraps his arms about Arthur's shoulders and pushes his fingers up through the back of his hair. Voice low and thick when he replies.]

[Arthur lifts up his head to look down at Eames, expression thick with wanting. His gaze moves from his face to his neck and back again as his hand moves up Eames' side.]

Are you up to it if I drink a little?

[God he wants that. He shifts a lityle under Arthur and nods without hesitation, though the part of him that's sometimes sensible catches up and he probably should make it known that he's pretty wiped. Not so much that he's not up to it, but he's not likely to stay awake long if Arthur does.]

If you don't mind cleaning up while I'm asleep, that is.

[Arthur smiles and brings his hand back up to Eames' face.]

[He leans back down to give Eames a good kiss before he reaches over to get the condoms and lube.]

He's trying not to be impatient, he'll enjoy this a hell of a lot more that way, but it's tough when Arthur's right here and he's all wound up from just a little attention.]
